Thorp Dog Auction Scrapbook: Dale

Previous -- Next

Dale, the black "Golden Doodle"

Nope, Dale the "Golden Doodle" isn't supposed to have dreadlocks -- he was having a really bad hair day when he was sold. Probably Chip's brother (Previous), "oodle" part of the family tree was probably a black standard poodle. You can't see in these photos, but both dogs' ears were in bad shape, too, overgrown with hair and infected.

Listed and sold as being 15 weeks old, these dogs were at LEAST 2 YEARS old at the time of their sale, though severely malnourished! Dale was in slightly better shape than Chip, though -- his body score was 3. Both dogs' feces showed more than 50% hay the first three days after purchase.

Chip and Dale were also "imported" from out of state, but came with NO vet Certificate of Health, as required by law (please see DACTP Regs, Importing Animals into WI).

Both boys, incidently, are very handsome after being groomed, and they are thriving on their new diet of nutritious food and lots of love!
